DocMind Installation Guide



DocMind is installed on Windows. Most users can complete installation by following the steps below.
If you need help, contact us and we can guide you through the setup.



Step 1: Download DocMind



Click the button below to download the DocMind installer for Windows.

Step 2: Run as Administrator



After downloading, right-click the installer and choose Run as administrator.

If an Administrator Error Appears

Close the error message, right-click the installer again, and select Run as administrator.



Step 3: Accept the License Agreement



Read the license agreement, select I accept the agreement, and click Next.



Step 4: Keep the Default Install Location



Most users can keep the default installation folder and click Next.



Step 5: Keep the Start Menu Folder



Keep the default Start Menu folder as DocMind and click Next.



Step 6: Create a Desktop Icon



Leave Create a desktop icon checked if you want easy access to DocMind from your desktop. Then click Next.



Step 7: Install



Click Install and wait for the setup to finish. Installation may take a few minutes because DocMind installs the local search components needed to search your files.



Step 8: Finish and Start DocMind



When installation is complete, leave Start DocMind checked and click Finish.



Step 9: Register Your Account



When DocMind opens, click Register, enter your email and password, and submit the form. Your 14-day free trial starts after registration and email verification.



Step 10: Verify Your Email



Open your email inbox and click the DocMind verification link. The verification link expires in 24 hours. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.



Step 11: Sync Your Documents



Go to the Settings page. Click Sync Files and wait for the synchronization process to finish.



Step 12: Start Searching



After synchronization is complete, return to the Home page and begin searching your local documents.
